The Career Center is working closely with the Humanities Career Panel Series Committee, so check out the 13 HCPS events that will be taking place this year.

What’s new?

Vault Guides –  Student can access this through their BruinView account. They will have access to in-depth info on what it’s really like to work in an industry, company or profession-and how to position yourself to land that job. Resources include:

  • Company Profiles – rankings and reviews on industry reputation, career advancement, quality of life, salary & benefits, interview process and more.
  • Vault Guides – over 100 titles of award-winning career and industry guides, including industry-specific interview strategies, job-search tips, and full-length profiles of leading companies.
  • Internship Database – find thousands of ratings and reviews of internship programs, requirements, sample interview questions, how to apply and more.

Interview Stream – Students can practice interviewing anytime, anywhere from a computer or mobile device.  Choose from over 7,000 general and industry-specific interview questions.  Record, review, and retry your responses at your own pace.  You can even share the recording with friends, mentors, or family to get their feedback. Students can log in to their BruinView account for access to Interview Stream.

What’s online?

The 2016-2017 Career Guide is hot off the press and posted on our website (hard copies are available in our Career Library).

Check out our two new webshops! For the basics of how to build a resume, check out our Resume Webshop. Additionally, for tips and tricks about how to successful interview, check out the Interview Webshop.

Students can now download the app “Careers by Symplicity” which allows them track and apply to internships and jobs posted on BruinViewtm through their phone.
