Dr. Alice Mandel, NELC Alumna and Lecturer, wins the 2016 David Noel Freedman Award for Excellence and Creativity in Hebrew Bible Scholarship has been awarded to Alice Mandell (Lecturer, Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures, University of California, Los Angeles) for her paper entitled, “The Adoption of the ‘Adoption’ Formula in Inner-biblical Discourse.”
