2024 Department Summer Funding Request

Deadline: April 1, 2024

The department aims to fund projects and summer activities related to dissertation research or writing, including preliminary work that might lead to the development of a Ph.D. thesis topic. The award amount has yet to be determined.

To apply, please write a one page description of your summer project and estimated budget along with a bibliography of 5-10 works relevant to your work and/or an indication of the kind of archives or research activities you would undertake over the summer.

Preference will be given to students in good academic standing who do not have Incomplete grades on their transcripts, and for whom this financial support will make a difference in their progress towards the degree. Students who already have summer funding are welcome to apply, but we will give special consideration to those without summer funding.

Decisions will be made after the GSRM awardees are announced.
