Egyptology Lecturer

The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at UCLA is seeking a part-time Lecturer to teach ancient Egyptian language, history, and culture for the academic year 2020-21. We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of Old, Middle, and Late Egyptian, to teach advanced grammar and reading seminars. Knowledge of Coptic and Demotic are also required. We are especially interested in historians and/or epigraphers of the Pharaonic Period (Bronze to Iron Age) and those who also have interests in the colonial historiography of Egyptology. Applicants should have experience teaching at a university level, and have their PhD in Egyptology or related fields, in hand by July 2020.
