Sariel Birnbaum received his PhD. from Hebrew University in the program of Contemporary Middle Eastern Studies. He has published his book “Back to the Past – Filmed history in Arab Cinema” at Magnes Press, Hebrew University, and additional academic articles. Dr. Birnbaum taught at Binghamton SUNY and San-Diego State University. Besides Hebrew, his mother language, Dr. Birnbaum worked as a translator from Arabic, and he reads and speaks French and German.
