Jesse Siragan Arlen, a Ph.D. Student in NELC, has received the Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fellowship for the 2018-2019 academic year. Jesse researches Spirituality and Literature in the Middle Ages. His dissertation will examine mystic writers around the turn of the First Millenium CE in the Near East and Mediterannean, with a focus on the Armenian, Greek, and Arabic traditions.
His advisor is Dr. S. Peter Cowe.
